Food Review: Sleepy Hollow

Nestled in the shadow of Cinderella Castle is one of my all-time favorite Walt Disney World dining stops – Sleepy Hollow.  Located in Liberty Square, this quick service restaurant features sweet and savory waffle sandwiches, funnel cakes and pretzel dogs.  There’s even a Breakfast Egg and Cheese Waffle Sandwich available until noon.

The Food

While the Sleepy Hollow menu has a number of sweet treats, like Mickey waffles or funnel cakes topped with powdered sugar or strawberries and whipped cream, my family makes a meal out of the tasty waffle sandwiches.

15 things to do on Main Street, U.S.A.

While many Walt Disney World guests rush through Main Street, U.S.A. to get to the Cinderella Castle and all the rides, there are quite a few things to do on this quaint turn-of-the-century American thoroughfare.  On your next trip to the Magic Kingdom, take some time to explore and enjoy these top 15 things to do on Main Street, U.S.A.

1. Ride the Main Street Vehicles

One of my preschooler’s favorite things to do at the Magic Kingdom is ride in these classic, turn-of-the-century vehicles. The Main Street Vehicles include a horse-drawn trolley, a roofless jitney, an old-fashioned fire engine and a two-story omnibus, and they provide one-way rides from Town Square to Cinderella Castle and Cinderella Castle to Town Square. There’s hardly ever a wait for rides, but you have to get there early – the Main Street vehicles usually only run until 10:15 a.m.
